My hasband was thumbing through my Pottery Barn catalog and came across this page and said, "I know what you can do! Do you see anything that we have?"
Indeed I did! I believe my husband got the ladder from his parents.
Before:
Old and not sturdy to use.
You can see the abuse it took.
I painted the ladder white
Sanded the edges to look distressed.
After I sanded the ladder I had some leftover wood stain from other projests that I used to darken the wood.
I am thinking of making the ladder darker. What do you think keep or darken?
looks great, try turning the books to lay them down, makes the mood more lacks..i just watched a show segment about that....lol.you did a GREAT JOB!
ReplyDeleteVery cute! I would say keep it the color it is, I like how it looks now. :-)

Personally, I think it looks great as is. You did a wonderful job with the color choice, staining, and distressing. ;)

Great job! We have a similar ladder painted light green that my husband uses as a side table on his end of the couch. I wish I had a picture of it on my blog. Seeing your gussied up ladder just reminded me of my lack which I hope to soon remedy!
