Table Before and After

I grew up eating on this table, my mom handed it down to me so my children can grow up with it.  Thank you mom.

This is my kitchen before I put the new table in.  I sold our first table we bought for this house on Craigslist the same day I posted it.  Perfect timing right?!  God's good.

I did lightly sand the edges around the table to give a light distressed look.

Now if I only had chairs to go with my lovely table....

Anyone have four wood chairs they need to sale?  Maybe I could fined cheap chairs on CL for less than $50....

Putting some Lipstick on my Door

The front door is a statement of who you are.

It can be welcoming:

A Secret Cozy Door:

A DO NOT ENTER door:

A door can take you back in time:

My door was saying ehh...

It needed a change!  I went to one of my favorite stores and got door trim, my trusty black paint and went to work.

I painted my door black.

Looks okay but check out the door handle.  Yuck!

Here I added the door trim and spray painted my door knobs silver.

Valentine Picture Frames

I am a Follower of Tatertots and Jello (who isn't?)

She had the cutest Heart picture frames and I just had to make some for my family.  Click on her name for the original tutorial.

Items you will need:

scrapbook paper
Picture frames
glass beads
glue for glass and beads.

I taped my scrapbook paper to the backing.  I didn't know if I would use the frames again.

You only need a little dot of this glue and the beads will stay.

Measure to find the middle then glue on the beads.

Let dry and display!

Thank you to my hubby for early flowers!  We love fresh flowers in the house.

Valentine Wreath

This is the first year I have ever decorated for Valentines (I know not me right?).  My first project was to make a wreath.

DIY Wreath!  All you need is:

foam wreath
tissue paper
hot glue gun
scissors
tape measure
any accent decor for your wreath

Cut your tissue 5x7

after you cut the pieces twist paper into a point.

I used the end of a small paint brush to make the holes in my wreath.  You can use an old tip of a pin.

Add glue in the hole you just made.

stick the twisted tip of your tissue inside the hot glue hole.

Add your favorite decor to your wreath and add ribbon to the back to hang.

Happy Valentines!
