Repurposed Fence Wood

I know it has been way to long since I posted. I am still alive! I started a company and I haven't had time to blog.  However, I am always making things.  Here is my latest creation. I took old fence wood and cut it down to the size I liked.  I then painted the wood my favorite color at the moment and added this beautiful cross I found at Hobby Lobby for 1/2 off (of course).

Wine Armoire

I found this Armoire on Craigslist for $20 dollars! 

This furniture is solid oak made in the 60's.  My vision was to turn it into a wine rack and storage for my kitchen. 

I took the doors off and all hardware.

Sanded down the wood and used wood puddy to fill in all holes I didn't need.



I primed the wood with Kiltz and painted the armoire with black paint and distressed with sandpaper.

Tonka Truck Party

My wonderful friend, Amanda Bohack, ask me and five other girls to host a baby shower.  I was thrilled at the opportunity to do it!  Our theme we came up with was Tonka Truck. 

I found these cute invitations on etsy.com from, Mommies Ink.  Jen was very sweet to answer all my questions and sent the invitations to me with in a day or two via email.  Thank you Mommies Ink!

We had such a fun time making the desert table.

The women made so much yummy food.  There was nothing left.

I love making my icecream pops.

These are giant cake balls.  I thought that putting them in the dump truck was a perfect place to put them.

Vintage Wood Cheese Pedestal Knock Off

I fell in love with a Pottery Barn Vintage Wood Cheese Board Pedestal and I wanted one, but I didn't like the price tag at $29.99....my first plan was to find something similar at the Good Will store or Salvation Army.  I had no luck.  As I was grazing through Hobby Lobby I took a detour down the wood isle and there it was!  Ding, the light bulb went on, I can make it myself.

Items you will need:

Elmer's Wood Glue

Wood block

Wood candle stick holder 4

Decide were you wood like put the candle sticks



Glue the candle holders

Wipe off excess glue.  Let dry

Sand down the wood with sandpaper and stain to the color you like.  I wanted a darker look but I used what I had.
